Twenty
six centuries ago a great living soul said “Life is
short it should be lived earnestly.” It was said in
India. The same is true even today. Time is short and
technological developments are coming very fast.
Scientific base and awareness is essential for any
useful, smooth and sustainable development.
Science and technology has developed a lot. Main
contribution had been from Scientists, Engineers &
Technologists. Mainly curiosity on part of scientists
and creativity on part of Engineers / Technologists have
contributed for all developments. It was curiosity in
the mind of Issac Newton that by seeing the falling
apple he became interested and later formulated law of
gravitation. It is creativity in the mind of James Watt
that he could think of making an application of steam
power. A steam Locomotive engine was the result of the
same. A point worth noting is that the above stated two
great persons did not have very high degree of education
and not very advanced laboratories to work at that time.
A very important common point was that the stated
scientist and technologist had very high degree of
attention and awareness. The present day students need
to learn from the life of such great persons. Sincerity,
dedication, hard work, and awareness are basic needs for
any successful person.
CERT’s stature is fairly good presently; but there is
strong desire on part of the management to make CERT a
reputable Institute not in Uttar Pradesh alone but on
the national level. As Advisor my desire and advice to
all the students is that they should make all sincere
efforts with dedication to learn, and earn knowledge.
All support and guidance is guaranteed. However, a real
benefit to the students will be when they pay attention
earnestly for their studies in lecture classes, tutorial
classes and practical classes and have a high degree of
attention and awareness.
